2005 Lambs
2006 Lambs
2007 Lambs
July 6, 2005 - We were awaken at 2:30AM by a loud noise from the barn. We got our camera, flashlight and our shoes. By the time we made it to the barn, Tilly was cleaning up her little ewe lamb. This is our first lamb on the farm, so needless to say we were too excited to go back to sleep. We took more pictures and watched Tilly clean her lamb and try to feed her. This is Tilly's first time, so we want to make sure she is taking care of her baby. She had no problems. Her little lamb was up and eating in no time.
We named Tilly's ewe Bridget on our 2005 summer vacation. Little Bridget went from dark brown to a lighter color, musket. Tilly and Bridget are very close. She took on her mother's pleasant personality. Bridget is sold to Rebecca in Mapleton, IA.
July 11, 2005 Our neighbor informed us Ede delivered a ram lamb through email. We were on our 2005 family vacation. He found a little black ram when he checked on the sheep in the morning. We were only two days from being home to witness. Our neighbor told us mom and son were doing fine. We named Ede's ram lamb after a co-worker of mine in Dallas. I promised to name my first born ram after him.
It was fun watching Ronald play with Bridget. Bridget usually stayed close to her mom, but Ronald was always exploring new territory. His horns developed nicely. Ronald is sold to Rebecca in Mapleton, IA.
